Dell XPS 27 All-in-One PC

Who knows if the Dell XPS 27 will be enough to compete with Apple’s iMac, and its inherent stranglehold on the all-in-one desktop computer market, but Dell is keen to try. Positioned as the most economical alternative to an iMac, the XPS One 27 features a massive 27-inch widescreen display (2,560 x 1,440 pixels) that encompasses an Ivy Bridge processor from Intel, up to 16GB of RAM, and storage that tops out at 2 full terabytes. Dell has also provided a full range of amenities like six USB ports (four 3.0, and two 2.0), HDMI input/outputs, media card reader slot, Bluetooth 4.0, and a slot-loading disc drive with optional Blu-ray — something that has yet to come to Mac. Starting at $1,400 USD, the XPS is a compelling shot across Apple’s bow that could very well go blow-for-blow with the iMac when it is released later this year
