2014 Cadillac ELR
Following an initial look at the concept stages of the Cadillac
ELR, the North American International Auto Show in Detroit was the
stage for the car’s official introduction to the world. The ELR is the
first luxury electric coupe in GM’s lineup and is based off of the
powertrain from the Chevy Volt. Unlike Tesla’s pure-electric Model S
sedan, the ELR has a gasoline engine that backs up its battery. The
vehicle can travel 35 miles on a single charge of electricity before a
1.4-liter engine comes to life and keeps the coupe running – thanks in
large part to a 5.5-foot-long, 435-pound T-shaped battery and an engine
that will provide 207 horsepower. The interior of the ELR is a
destination unto itself. An open door reveals an exquisite oasis of
elegance and information. Finely stitched leather accents,
burled-grained wood and available carbon fiber, along with the
technology of Cadillac CUE2, provide touches that may even exceed the
comforts of home. The automaker has not revealed pricing for the
vehicle, which will go on sale in the early weeks of 2014.

2014 Audi RS7
Audi recently put its latest RS7
on display at the Detroit Auto show. Classified as a super-sedan, the
2014 RS7 comes to the forefront with a twin-turbo 4.0 V8 TFSI engine
churning out 560 horsepower and 553 pounds-per-foot of torque. Boasting a
0-60 mph run in 3.9 seconds, the standard package tops out at 155 mpg,
while the optional dynamic package bumps that top speed up to 189 mph.
If that’s not enough, the car is able to accomplish all of this with a
respectable 24 miles to the gallon.
Globe Specs Sunglasses
If the name Globe Specs
sounds foreign to you, it’s likely because the Japanese brand has never
been made available in the United States. Until now, that is. Self Edge
founder Kiya Babzani recently scoured the world to find the best in
eyewear design, the search ultimately bringing him to the streets of
Tokyo. There, he discovered Globe Specs’ well-designed vintage stylings
and high-end craftsmanship, qualities that will be offered to the
American public through the introduction of five frames. Each pair may
be used as sunglasses or prescription glasses and are artisanally-made
using the highest quality acetate, titanium, and stainless steel.
Comprised of collaborations with both Beauty & Youth and United Arrows
in the form of The Johnson, The Monty, The Plebe, Montauk and Stevie
styles, Globe Specs’ debut on American soil is available now exclusively
at Self Edge.

the first three opt for a simple dark base touched off with contrasting

contribution with a wool finish, shallower fit, firewood patch on the
