Casio G-Shock 2012 Spring/Summer GB-6900 Collection

The highly anticipated GB-6900 series from Casio’s vaunted G-Shock lineup was originally slated for a December 2011 release, but the catastrophic flooding in Thailand dramatically halted production and bumped the release back to spring of 2012. With the impending season upon us, final details on the watches have surfaced. While Bluetooth watches aren’t entirely new, the GB-6900 is the first of its kind to use Bluetooth 4.0, taking advantage of this iteration’s Low Energy capabilities to maximize battery life. The watch synchronizes with your Bluetooth-equipped phone, enabling you to set alarms, change ring modes, view incoming calls, and read SMS or email messages on the watch’s innovative display. Also handy for the avid jetsetter, the watch will automatically sync to the local time on your phone. Retailing for approximately $225 USD, the GB-6900 will be available in black, red or white, and is currently slated for a March 16 global release.
